I was born on the 2 February 1936 in Mainz Germany

After the war in 1949 we moved to the upper Austrian capital Linz/Danube

All my primary and higher education I received in Austria.

In 1953 my father was offered a job in JAVA Indonesia in a large Hospital Pharmacy by the Indonesian Government, which he took on,

and in February that year we left Austria.

When we arrived in Indonesia we took residence in Bandung, where the hospital was situated  (Ranja  Badak).

For some time I went to an Indonesian College to further my education, but because of the language problems did not receive any certificates.

In December 1958 I left Indonesia of the age of 22 years, on an Dutch Ocean Liner “WILLEM Ruys” and arrived in Southampton England on the 5th January 1959.

In 1963 I started training as a student nurse in Bexley Hospital and qualified in April 1967 and became a fully fledged RMN (Registered Mental Nurse.)

I remained in Bexley Hospital for another year, as a Staff Nurse, and in January 1968 I got a position as Ward Sister at Netherne Hospital Surrey.

I remained at Netherne Hospital till my retirement in 1991 at the age of 55yrs.
